それでも町は廻っている
第1巻のみKindle Unlimitedに入っていたので少しだけ紹介する。僕が知る中でも頭が良いと感じた漫画の一つ。頭の良さは多様だが、ここでは機転が効いているという意味で。全話を通して話が上手く構成されていて感心してしまった。癖がないので誰でも気持良く読めると思う。そして癖が無いので大ハマりする事も（多分）ない。飲み物で例えるならミルクティーだろうか。ホッとして、微笑ましい。
主人公は地元の商店街をこよなく愛し、自身周辺の人間関係が何時迄も継続することを何より願う女子高生。そんな彼女が高校生として過ごす日々が１話完結の形式で語られる。第1巻は高校入学直後から順に大体時系列どおりに話が進むが、登場人物がほぼ出揃い、一通り導入が済むかなり早い段階から時系列がシャッフルされ始める。高校３年間のいつ頃の話かは、例えば主人公の髪型など幾つかのヒントから目敏い人ならある程度特定できるようになっている。随分離れた話同士が繋がったりするのが面白い。時折都市伝説的や宇宙人のような不思議な要素が入ってはいるが、基本的に呑気な話だ。
全16巻あり、尻上がりに面白くなったと思う。途中少し弛れたような気はする。好きな話を挙げればキリがないが、最終巻の最後の話（エピローグ）は涙が出た（この感情な何だろう、言葉にし辛い）。ここで初めて卒業後のことが描かれ、何時迄も続きそうな楽しいお話が終わったと実感を得る。エピローグへの助走として、第16巻では全体的に、これまでの安定した（停滞した）世界環にヒビが入り、そこから抜け出るような話で構成されている。もっと読んでいたいという気はしながらも、良い潮時に完結にしたと思う。漫画を手元に余り置かないという例に漏れず、これも最終巻が出て間も無く処分していたので、それほど読んでいなかった後半の巻だけ電子書籍で買い直してしまった。ちなみに、第1巻の購入のきっかけは、「パンツが見えてもエロく見えない女子高生が主人公」、たぶんそんな感じのポップであった。
同作者の漫画では『木曜日のフルット』も好きだ。一話見開き１ページの実にツマラナイ内容で、タイトルロゴの書体が毎回異なり、内容に何らかの意味で釣り合うようになっている。
